2. Personal data we process, purposes and legal bases
2.1 Visiting the Site
When you visit the Site, our servers and our network provider process technical data that your browser sends automatically: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser and operating system (user agent) and the referring page. We process this data to deliver the Site, to keep it stable and secure and to defend against attacks. Based on your IP address, our network provider also tells us which country you are browsing from; we use this only to show you the right prices, currency and regional information and do not store it.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website).
2.2 Contact form
If you contact us, we process your name, email address, phone number, subject and message to answer your inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a contract or to steps before entering into a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering inquiries).
2.3 Technical service requests
If you send a service request, we process your name, email address, phone number, the model concerned, a description of the issue and any photos you upload (up to 5). Photos can contain information that your camera or phone embeds automatically, such as the location where the photo was taken; if you prefer not to share it, please remove this information before uploading. If you are not signed in and agree to it in the form, we create a customer account for you with the details you provided, so that you can follow your request, and we email you a link to set a password.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling the service request and related contracts); for creating a customer account when you are not signed in, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent given in the form).
2.4 Quote requests
If you request a quote, we process your name, email address, phone number and the configuration you built (model, options and price) to prepare and send you the quote.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract).
2.5 Customer account and Sign in with Google
If you create an account, we process your name, email address and password and, if you add them, your phone number, addresses (including company name and tax details for business addresses), notification preferences and saved or followed products. We store your password only in hashed form; we cannot read it. When you sign in, we record your IP address and browser information with your session and with account events (such as sign-in, sign-out, password or email changes) to keep your account secure. You can see and end your active sessions in your account.
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, whether your email address is verified and a Google account identifier with us. We do not receive your Google password and do not store your profile picture or Google access tokens.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the account); for security records, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in protecting accounts against misuse).
2.6 Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send it to you. You confirm your subscription through a link we email to you (double opt-in). To be able to prove your consent, we record the date and time, your IP address, your browser information and the consent text you agreed to. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every newsletter.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent); for the consent record, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in being able to prove your consent, Art. 7(1) GDPR).
2.7 Protection against spam
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people and automated bots apart. For this purpose, Cloudflare processes technical data about your browser and your IP address.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in protecting our forms against abuse).
2.8 Cookies, statistics and maps
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Site. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site and load maps from Google Maps. Details, including the individual cookies and how to withdraw your consent, are in our Cookie Policy.
Legal basis: for strictly necessary cookies, § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for statistics and external content, § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent).

For transfers to the United States, we rely on the adequacy decision of the European Commission for companies certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). For transfers to countries without an adequacy decision, such as Türkiye, we use appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can request a copy of these safeguards using the contact details in section 1.
5. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
- account data for as long as your account exists;

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop the processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. You can also view and update your account data and notification preferences in your account.
Right to lodge a complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg).
7. Is providing your data required?
Providing personal data is not required by law. For service requests, quote requests and customer accounts, the data marked as required in our forms is necessary to handle your request or to enter into and perform the related contract; without it, we cannot answer your inquiry, handle your request or open an account for you. All other information is voluntary.
8. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and session tokens, private storage for uploaded photos and access limited to authorized staff.
